Who we are
The Institute of Research of the Makumira University College is an excellent academic resource for Christian theology, humanities, social sciences, music and law. Its core passion and ideological motivation in its establishment is through research to assist men, women and children of Tanzania and Africa: appreciate their own intrinsic value; discover their gifts and talents; make personal growth a life-long pursuit; reach their God-given potential; lead full and meaningful lives; and become effective in their service to society.Statement of Purpose: In accord with an abbreviated vision of Makumira University College: Christ centred transformed Tanzanian and African societies. The Institute of Research exists to activate people’s imaginations, initiations and to open them up to new opportunities in life and assist them reach their full growth of both personal and professional academic potential.
Mission: The Institute of Research provides excellent resources that affirm Christ centred values in order to positively influence people in Tanzania, Africa and the world to pursue their purpose and destiny in the following areas:
- Planning and implementing research activities at Makumira University College in close cooperation with other Research Institutes of Tumaini University.
- Serving the Tanzanian society in providing possible solutions to advice social problems.
- Publishing its own findings, outstanding theses ad any other literature worthy of publication.
Core values in the implementation are in the following aspects:
