Admission Application Fees International

 

Admission Regulations for Bachelor's Degrees
The following are the categories through which applicants
can join Makumira University College.

Category A: Direct Entry (Form VI)
Applicants eligible for direct admission to a degree programme
must have earned one of the following:

  • A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E.) with at least three credits (passes at grade C or higher) obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E) ;
  • An Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E.)
    with at least two principal passes and a total of 4.5 or more points;
  • Possession of a degree from an Accredited University or College.

Category B: Equivalent Qualifications (Diploma holders)
Applicants eligible for equivalent admission to a degree programme
must have either:

  • Minimum equivalent requirements specific to the programme of study as listed under
    the faculty; or
  • Met entry requirements at an accredited University in the applicant's home country
    (for foreign applicants) subject to approval by the MUCo Academic Board and the
    Tumaini University Senate.

Category C: Entrance Examination Qualifications
Applicants who have at least two principal passes, but have less than 4.5 total points
on the A.C.S.E.E. must pass the Tumaini University, Makumira University College
Entrance Examination.

Category D: Mature Entry
Applicants eligible for direct admission to a degree programme must:

  • Be 25 years of age or older in the year of application
  • Have completed Form IV (or equivalent) and obtained at least three credit passes
    at least five years prior to the year of application;
  • Have attended extra-mural classes or residential courses and submit a letter of recommendation from the tutor, or have attended a residential course at an Adult
    Education College and submit a letter of recommendation from the Principal;
  • Pass the Tumaini University, Makumira University College Entrance Examination.

NB:

  • Transport to and from MUCo campus is the responsibility of the student/sponsor
  • Field/practical expenses will be determined during the year concerned.
    Expenses will be met by student/sponsor
  • Caution deposit is refundable upon completion of the programme,
    if no damages are owing to MUCo
  • Students expenses as itemised in Student Expenses above are to be paid by sponsors diretly to the students.
  • Application fee is non-refundable.
  • Tuition fee is non-refundable.
  • Fee structure is subject to change without notice or obligation.
  • All Students are required to secure valid Medical Insurance without which a student
    will not be allowed to register.
  • MUCo Law Society Contribution wll be paid by Bachelor Law Students Only
  • Teaching Practice wll be paid by Bachelor of Education Students Only
  • All Fees must be paid before Registration for the Semester.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS top

Application procedures and fees for international applicants differ from those for Tanzanian students. International applicants also need to obtain a Tanzania Residence Permit. Please contact the relevant Faculty for details.
